This privacy policy describes how Maverick Wealth Pty Ltd (ABN 81 691 297 524, ACN 691 297 524) collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information.
Bradley Hall is a Credit Representative (573782) of Mortgage Specialists Pty Ltd (ACN 612 422 178), Australian Credit Licence 387025. Credit assistance is provided under the authority of that licence.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the Credit Reporting Privacy Code. This policy is written in plain English and is intended to be read in full.
Our commitment to protect your privacy
We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal and credit information. This policy explains our information-handling practices, your rights, and how to contact us if you have a question or complaint.
We treat your information with the same discipline we apply to everything else: only collect what we need, explain why, keep it secure, and delete it when the engagement is done.
Personal information
"Personal information" is information about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable. The personal information we may collect from you includes:
- Identity information: full name, date of birth, residential and previous addresses, drivers licence or passport details, marital status, number of dependants.
- Contact information: email address, phone numbers, postal address.
- Employment and income information: employer, position, income, length of service, payslips or accountant-prepared financial statements.
- Asset and liability information: property owned, savings, superannuation, credit cards, existing loans, monthly expenses.
- Credit information: credit report data obtained from credit reporting bodies (with your consent), including credit history, default information and repayment history.
- Loan and product preferences: type of loan, target loan amount, preferred lenders, repayment frequency preferences.
Why we collect your personal information
We collect your personal information to provide credit assistance to you in line with our obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth), including the Best Interests Duty (section 158LA).
Specifically, we use your personal information to:
- Conduct a preliminary assessment of your needs and objectives.
- Assess your financial situation, requirements and serviceability.
- Recommend credit products that are in your best interests.
- Submit a loan application on your behalf to one or more lenders, with your consent.
- Provide ongoing service after settlement, including annual reviews and rate health checks.
- Comply with our legal obligations, including under the NCCP Act, the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, and ASIC regulatory guides.
- Maintain a client relationship for the duration of the broker-client engagement.
How do we collect your personal information?
We collect personal information directly from you, with your consent, through the following channels:
- When you submit the contact form or any other form on this website.
- When you book a discovery call via our online booking system (Calendly).
- When you call, email or message us directly.
- When you complete a fact-find or loan application form provided by us or our aggregator.
- When you supply supporting documents (identification, payslips, bank statements, accountants letters).
- When you use this website. Our hosting provider and analytics tools may collect non-identifying information such as device type, IP address and pages visited.
Where required for a specific purpose and with your consent, we may also collect information from third parties such as credit reporting bodies, your accountant, your employer, real estate agents, conveyancers, financial planners, lenders, mortgage insurers and identity verification services.
If you provide personal information to us about another person (for example, a co-borrower or guarantor), you must have their consent to do so and you should make them aware of this privacy policy.
Do we disclose your personal information?
We disclose your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, or as otherwise permitted by law. The recipients of your personal information may include:
- Prospective funders, lenders and lessors.
- Mortgage insurers and trade insurers.
- Credit reporting bodies.
- Mortgage Specialists Pty Ltd (our aggregator) and associated businesses.
- IT and infrastructure providers (including website hosting, web-form processing, scheduling software, email and document storage).
- Agents and contractors who assist us in providing credit assistance to you.
- Legal representatives engaged in connection with the credit assistance.
- Other borrowers, guarantors or referees you nominate.
- Auditors and compliance reviewers.
- Insurers and employers (for income verification, with your consent).
- Identity verification services.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the third-party service providers we use store or process information overseas. The countries to which your information may be disclosed include the United States (website hosting, web-form processing, scheduling software, fonts, Google Analytics and standard cloud infrastructure) and other jurisdictions where our cloud providers operate edge nodes. We take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Direct marketing
From time to time we may use your personal information to send you marketing communications about our services that we believe may be of interest. This may include emails, SMS, phone calls and mail.
If you do not wish to receive marketing information, you may at any time decline to receive such information by telephoning us on 0432 524 935 or by writing to us at Maverick Wealth Pty Ltd, Ferny Hills QLD 4055. If the direct marketing is by email you may also use the unsubscribe function included in every marketing email. We will not charge you for giving effect to your request and will take all reasonable steps to meet your request at the earliest possible opportunity.
Updating your personal information
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we hold about you is accurate, complete and up to date. If your personal information changes, or you become aware that something we hold is incorrect, please contact us so we can update our records.
Access and correction to your personal and credit information
You may request access to the personal and credit information we hold about you at any time. We will respond to your request within 7 days.
If you believe the information we hold is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, you may request a correction. We will investigate and notify you of our decision within 30 days of completing that investigation.

Business without identifying you
You may interact with us anonymously or using a pseudonym in limited circumstances. For example, asking a general question by phone or browsing this website. However, in most cases, particularly any credit assistance, we will need to verify your identity in order to act for you and to comply with our legal obligations under the NCCP Act and the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.
Sensitive information
"Sensitive information" includes information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or criminal record.
We will not ask you to disclose sensitive information unnecessarily. If you choose to provide sensitive information to us (for example, health information relevant to a hardship request), you consent to us collecting, storing and using it for that purpose. We will only use or disclose sensitive information for the purpose for which it was provided unless you consent otherwise or we are required by law.
How safe and secure is your personal information that we hold?
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include:
- Storing electronic information on secure systems with access controls.
- Encrypting information in transit where practicable (HTTPS, encrypted email where used).
- Restricting access to personal information to people who need it to perform their role.
- Training and procedures for our team.
- Securely destroying or de-identifying information that is no longer needed.
We retain personal and credit information for as long as required by law (generally 7 years after the engagement ends) and securely destroy or de-identify it after that.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as totally secure. While we take all reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.
